Having a lot of fun with this kind of style lately. Super simple.

Going in with white (no pen pressure) and deleting it out with the brush of your liking (with pen pressure). This creates a smooth gradient and oftentimes amazing happy accidents, where you create forms, that you didn´t have in mind in the first place.
Not depending on lines and creating your design on the fly, feels very natural to me.

Here are some wips and very brief explanations for the London piece. The image starts to feel right only after a long while, so you just need to sit through ugly, unlit textures and bad lighting until it slowly comes together and the fun part begins. Also playing around with color balance, contrast and adding fun stuff like noise really makes your work pop more. Try it out!
